‘Kitab al-Ghaybah’ (Arabic: كتاب الغيبة, lit. ‘Book of Occultation’) is a doctrinal tome of the Twelver Shia Rafidah penned by Muḥammad ibn Ibrahim al-Nu’mani (d. 970 CE), a disciple of Al-Kulayni. ‘Kitab al-Ghaybah’ carries significant importance for the Rafidah, particularly in the context of the 12th Imam’s characteristics and occultation. Al-Nu’mani included nearly 500 narrations spread across twenty-six chapters. The tome covers a wide array of subjects, including deliberations on Imamate and Mahdavism (the esoteric cultish Rafidi belief concerning their Dajjal-like hidden savior).
Indeed, due to the convoluted nature of the Imamah belief of the Rafidah, considerable doubt and skepticism existed in Al-Nu’mani’s era regarding the occultation (ghaybah) of the 12th Imam. In his work, Al-Nu’mani wrote that observing how the Shia adherents were confounded by the event of the occultation, he aspired to attempt and extricate them from this perplexity. Fundamentally, it functions as a doctrinal point of reference for the Shia to persuade them about a hidden saviour who has solely been advantageous for the Shia clergy to amass funds (Khums) in his name and manipulate the Shia masses.
Sunnis should seriously dig into Al-Numani’s ‘Al-Ghaybah’ and share it with Muslims worldwide. This book pulls back the curtain on the twisted Majoosi Yahoodi traits of the Rafidah’s made-up pseudo-Mahdi.
Abu Abdullah said: When the Imam (Shia Mahdi) calls out the Adhan, he will supplicate to Allah with His Hebrew name, and then his three hundred and thirteen companions will be granted entry, like the fallen leaves of autumn. They will be the bearers of the banners. Amongst them are those who are taken from their beds at night and wake up in Makkah, and others who are seen walking in the clouds during the day, recognised by their names, the name of their father, their adornment, and their lineage. I said: May I be sacrificed for you. Which of them has the greater faith? He replied: The one who walks in the clouds during the day. They are the ones who are missing. This verse was revealed about them: “And for everyone, there is a direction to which he should turn; so vie with one another in good works. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you all together. Surely Allah has power over everything.”Source: Book of Occultation (‘Kitab al-Ghaybah’) – Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Nu’mani – Vol. 1 – Page 324
