‘The Hawzah does not provide support with regard to the learning of the Qur’an such as the study of its text and its basic sciences, thus the Hawzah student learns Fiqh and Islamic thought without being capable of reciting the Qur’an correctly […]‘
‘The lack of Qur’an memorisation is one of the fundamental deficiencies in our Shiite Hawzas (‘seminars’) as it is not included in the curriculum, therefore, to this very day, more attention is given to the memorisation of the Alfiyyah (grammar work) and the Manzumah by Sabzewari (philosophy work) than to the memorisation of the Qur’an! This has tarnished the image of the Shia Hawzas, in fact this (i.e. lack of memorisation of the Qur’an) has lead to a sense of embarrassment in dialogue conference meetings between Shia scholars and scholars from other schools of thought, even in in front of their (i.e. Sunnis) young students …’ [The Hawzah and the scholars of the religion, vol. 2, p. 250, by ‘Ayatollah’ ‘Ali Khamenei]
Admission #2: Sunni scholars are more familiar with the Qur’an than anyone else!

‘The lack of concern and effort of our Hawzat Al-‘Ilmiyyah (lit. ‘Seminaries of knowledge’, seminaries where Shia clerics are trained) with regard to the memorisation of the Qur’an represents a deficiency in its educational programme in our present times. Astthe same timel some of the religious schools of Sunnis (lit. ‘sons of the generality’) set conditions for their students to memorise the Qur’an at primary stages of their studies, and even if they don’t put these conditions, they greatly encourage their students [to memorise the Qu’ran], this is why we see most scholars of the Ahl Al-Sunnah (Sunnis) being more familiar with the Qu’ran than anyone else.’ [The Hawzah and the scholars of the religion, vol. 2, p. 251, by ‘Ayatollah’ ‘Ali Khamenei]
shiascans.com comment:
Thank you Khamenei, it’s not like you have revealed a secret or something, one just needs to browse through the net a little to find out that Shia scholars in particular (some of their laymen, especially youth do recite the Qur’an decently in the last few years, but that’s all thanks to Sunni masters of recitation like ‘Abdul-Basit ‘Abdul-Samad and others whom many good Shia recitors actually copy) are the worst of all when it comes to the correct recitation of the Qur’an.
The correct recitation of the Qur’an is not an issue of being Arab or not (most Sunnis in the world are non-Arabs!) nor that Allah will (double) reward the person who genuinely struggles to recite it correctly, the issue is that the very basic sciences of Qur’an like its correct recitation (Tajwid) and memorisation (Hifdh) are neglected in Shia learning seminaries, the very same seminaries that claim to follow the two weighty things (Qur’an and Ahl Al-Bayt).
A side note: It is actually a blessing, a great blessing indeed, that Shias oppose and reject Tarawih prayers in Ramadan (claiming it is a bid’ah whilst having themselves innovated actual bid’ah prayers, dozens of them, hineous prayers such as ‘Prostrating and praying to Fatimah a few hundred times!‘), imagine what a torture it would be to stand for a long period of time behind so called ‘miracle/signs of Allah’ (‘Ayatollahs’) who can’t even recite a Fatihah with decent Tajwid:
